These words are quoted from Apple’s official website: "MacBook Air is ultrathin, ultraportable, and ultra unlike anything else. But you don’t lose inches and pounds overnight. Of multiple wireless innovations. And of breakthrough design." Is it absolutely true?
Last week, Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced the MacBook Air. This notebook claimed as the thinnest notebook in the world. Estimated retail price range between $1,799 to as much as $3100. These are some features of MacBook Air, the world’s thinnest notebook.

Inside this slim notebook, we can found a 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz 65-nanometer Intel Core 2 Duo processor featuring 4 MB of L2 cache (custom-made by Intel to fit into the slim chassis), 2GB of RAM, and a choice of either an 80GB standard 1.8-inch hard drive or a 64GB SSD drive.

Thinnest But Not Lightest

MacBook Air is the thinnest notebook in the world today. However it is not the lightest notebook. There are many notebooks that are lighter than MacBook Air, such as Toshiba, Lenovo, Fujitsu, and Sony. For example, Portege R500 Toshiba weighs 0,86 kilograms and ThinkPad X61 Lenovo weighs 1,35 kilograms.
